Cellar 46 is a small, independent wine business owned by Emily based in Haslemere, operating on a delivery only basis.

Membership is free and enables you to join Emily's mailing list, as well having access to the Members' webpage. Please simply fill out the Contact form to join, or email info@cellar46.co.uk, noting the wines you currently enjoy. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Why join?
From vineyard to bottle, Emily has always championed Producers who really care about the wines that they make. Wines are always carefully selected, with a firm focus on quality and understanding what Members enjoy. These are bottles which are not necessarily available on supermarket shelves. Classic styles, as well as unique wines feature. All wines are from highly regarded Producers who are certified organic or biodynamic, or are practising as such. Emily also sources directly from her favourite English vineyards.

Various box options are offered throughout the year (such as Summer taster boxes) and Emily has created a monthly wine list, which is accessed via the Members' webpage. This is Cellar 46 stock, namely firm favourites and special bottles (for example, limited edition wines and Magnums).

Members also have access to bespoke services, such as cellar plans, party planning and private tastings. Emily can also source wines upon request.

All wines are supplied with Emily's full, detailed tasting note cards as standard, which give information on the Producer, region, grape variety/blend and vinification, as well as cheese and food matching suggestions.

Delivery
Local deliveries (with 10 miles of Haslemere) are made by Emily and are subject to a charge of . National deliveries are made by APC Overnight's specialist liquid service and their standard rates apply.

Please be advised that Emily operates on a storage and distribution basis only; Cellar 46 is not a wine bar or a traditional wine merchant. Due to Waverley's licensing permissions, with the exception of couriers, Members of the Public are not allowed on site. It is strictly delivery only.

Parties, Weddings and Events
Emily also supplies wine for private and corporate events. Wines are always in keeping with the Cellar 46 ethos, which is to support Producers who care about the wines they make and who are following organic or biodynamic practices.

Wine suggestions will be made according to budget and taste, with an all-important final tasting. Bespoke Wine Lists can be designed and printed for any event. Food and cheese matching suggestions will also be provided.

Gifts
Gift vouchers: Gift vouchers are available in any amount and will be valid for a year. Vouchers enable wines to be purchased from the Cellar 46 Wine List, or Emily will choose wines to taste. Simply contact Emily to redeem the voucher.

Sending bottle(s) as a gift: A one-off trio, or any denomination of wines can also be gifted and Emily will recommend wines according to taste and budget. Gift wrap is and includes full tasting notes, a personalised gift message and wine pourers. Deliveries outside the local Haslemere area will be sent using APC Overnight’s liquid service.

1. About Cellar 46 Ltd and how we can be contacted

Cellar 46 Ltd is an independent, Members' only Wine Club. Further information can be found at cellar46.co.uk or we can be contacted directly at info@cellar46.co.uk.

Any personal information provided to us will be handled in accordance with this Policy.

For the purposes of data protection law we will be a controller of your personal information (this means we make decisions about how and why your information is used and have a duty to ensure your rights are protected).

2. What information we collect

We collect information from individuals to provide/discuss goods or services and to keep them informed about Cellar 46. This may include personal information, such as your name and contact details provided when communicating with us, or be in connection with your Membership with us, for example regarding an event or purchase, loyalty programs and competitions. If you make a purchase from us, we will use personal information in order to facilitate that order.

We do not normally collect or process sensitive personal information about our Members (such as information about someone's health or beliefs). However we will, for example, ensure that we speak with new Members regarding any sulphite allergies they may have experienced when consuming alcohol and we will ensure that this information is kept private and secure.

3. How we use your information

We will only use your information with your consent, or because we need to in order to:

- enter into, or perform, a contract with you;
- comply with a legal duty (notably to confirm that you are over the age of 18);
- for our own (or a third party's) lawful interests, provided your rights don't override these.

In any event, your information will only be used for the purpose(s) we collected it for (or else for a closely related purpose, such as keeping a record of an order once a transaction is complete.

We will never sell your personal information. We do share information with our suppliers (for example. if you place an order with us we will share your address with our courier company), but they will only be allowed to use the information for a specific purpose and we will make sure your data is protected.

Membership service

If you choose to make an enquiry about Cellar 46 you will be asked to provide information, such as contact details, so that we can discuss and administer your membership.

We also store information on purchases and wine preferences made by Members in order to be able to make further recommendations and inform Members of events and tastings that may be of interest.

Members will only receive marketing information if they have agreed to such communications.

4. Website and cookies

We do not collect or process personal information about visitors to our website unless they choose to provide information (such as when making an enquiry).

We may collect non-personal information about visitors to our website as this helps us optimise and improve the website. This information might include your internet protocol address, the browser being used to connect to our site, the device (e.g. its operating system) and the connection type (e.g. the Internet service provider used). However, none of this information will directly identify you.

Cookies

Our website may use “cookies” to enhance your experience and enable certain functionality. Web browsers place cookies on hard drives for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information (such as repeat visits). You can choose to set your web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. However, if you refuse to allow cookies; this may interfere with your ability to use the site.

Hyperlinks to other sites

Our website may contain hyperlinks to other websites operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the content or functionality of any of those external websites.  If an external website requests personal information from you (e.g. in connection with an order for goods or services), the information you provide will not be covered by this Policy. We suggest you read the privacy policy of any website before providing any personal information.

5. Communications

We may contact you by email, telephone or post. We do this to confirm orders, discuss your Membership services and (where applicable) we may contact you with updates or additional information about Cellar 46 Membership. We may also contact you to notify you of changes to our terms of business or this Policy.

Marketing

If you are an existing Member, we will send you marketing communications about similar products or services that may be of interest, unless you ask us not to or decide to unsubscribe.

We will only contact an individual consumer with marketing communications if that person is an existing Member and has agreed to receive such communication. If you would like to opt-in to marketing you can do so by filling in the contact form on the website or emailing info@cellar46.co.uk.

If you decide to enter a competition or prize draw, we will contact you to let you know if you have won and to see if you would like to continue to hear from us with other news, offers and competitions.

We may contact local businesses to introduce ourselves and provide details of our products, services and offers. If you have received such a communication, and would prefer not to hear from us in future, simply let us know using the details below.

Changing your preferences or unsubscribing

You can change how you hear from us or unsubscribe from marketing at any time. You can do this by clicking the “unsubscribe” link on any of our emails, by writing to Cellar 46 Ltd, Dial House, 46 Longdene Road, Haslemere, Surrey, GU27 2PQ, or by emailing info@cellar46.co.uk with details of your request.

You can also contact us via these details if you wish to complain about a marketing communication you have received in error.

6. Protecting your information

We employ a variety of physical and technical measures to keep your personal data safe and to prevent unauthorised access, use or disclosure. Electronic data and databases are stored on secure systems and we control who has access to them (using both physical and electronic means).

We do not hold Members' personal financial or payment information, neither do we take payment over the internet. Invoices are raised and sent to Members in the agreed format in order that they can make direct payment to Cellar 46's business account.

7. CCTV

Our premises have CCTV which is used to protect the safety of staff, as well as couriers attending the premises for delivery or despatch.

Clients are not permitted entry to the premises in accordance with Cellar 46's licensing rules.

Access to CCTV is strictly controlled and it will only be used in the event of an incident and only disclosed (typically to police, courts, professional advisers or insurers) if required by law or in relation to in the event of actual or prospective legal proceedings.

We store CCTV footage for around two weeks, after which tapes are automatically deleted and the old footage is recorded over.

8. Storing your information

We only store personal information so long as it is required for the purpose(s) we it collected for (or for a related compatible purpose, such as keeping a record of a transaction). We regularly review what data we have and delete that which is no longer necessary. You also have a right to request that your data be deleted (the right to be forgotten); please see clause 9 for further details.

We only store personal information within the United Kingdom where strict data protection laws are in place.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please contact us using the details set out in clause 1.

9. Your rights

We want to ensure you remain in control of your personal information. Part of this is making sure you understand your legal rights, which are as follows:
(a)     the right to confirmation as to whether or not we have your personal data and, if we do, to obtain a copy of the personal data;
(b)     from 25 May 2018, the right to have certain information provided to you in a portable electronic format, or transmitted to another data controller, where technically feasible;
(c)     where personal data are processed on the basis of your consent, the right to withdraw that consent;
(d)     the right to have inaccurate data rectified;
(e)     the right to object to your data being used for marketing or legitimate interests/ purposes;
(f)     the right to restrict how your personal information is used; and
(g)     the right to be forgotten, which allows you to have your data erased in certain circumstances (though this is not an absolute right and may not apply if we need to continue using the information for a lawful reason).

    The focus here (as with all Cellar 46 wines) is only on bottles from highly regarded producers who have been carefully chosen. The aim being to guarantee three high quality bottles

    The Cellar 46 Members’ Wine List details firm favourites and special wines, such as limited edition bottles and magnums/double magnums (updated monthly on the Members' webpage)

  • Cellar 46 Box Options
    One-off box options are offered throughout the year, for example these may include rosé taster boxes, English Sparkling boxes, Summer boxes and Christmas boxes. Boxes may also focus on a specific Producer, wine style, country and/or region

  • Access to New Wines
    You will receive updates on new wines listed, limited edition wines and the latest vintages on release

  • Option to sign up to bespoke services
    Emily also provides consultancy services such as bespoke wine packages, private tastings, Cellar Plans and tailored wines for private parties, weddings and events. Wines (by the case) can also be sourced upon request – if you’re searching for a special bottle!

    Emily can put together gifts based on wine preferences. Standard courier rates apply and gift wrap is an additional . Gifts include a gift message, full tasting note cards and wine pourers; Gift Vouchers can be sent to friends and family and are valid for a year from the date of purchase. Cellar 46 Age Verification Policy

Cellar 46 Ltd is a committed and responsible business with rigorous checks in place to ensure that all of its Members confirm, and are verified as being, over the age of 18 and are therefore able to purchase and consume alcohol legally, and responsibly.

1. MEMBERSHIP

Cellar 46 is a private wine club and as result Membership will be strictly controlled and limited to adults over the legal age of 18.

For the purposes of this policy, a Responsible Person is the Premises Licence Holder ("PLH") or Designated Premises Supervisor ("DPS").

The PLH or DPS will be responsible for checking an individual's age and upholding the age-verification policy. In line with Cellar 46's Privacy Policy, this will entail obtaining the relevant details from an individual, such as full name, DOB and address, as well as requesting either valid Passport or Driving Licence details. The PLH or DPS will then use these details to perform age verification checks using a certified, external system.

ONLY once age has been verified and authorised by the PLH or DPS will Cellar 46 permit the individual to become a new Member.

2. CHALLENGE 25 POLICY

Wine will be delivered to Members by pre-arranged courier. Couriers used by Cellar 46 will specialise in delivering alcohol and ensuring safe delivery.

It is the responsibility of Cellar 46 Ltd to hire a professional third party courier to deliver goods to Members and to ensure the recipient of the goods is over the legal age of 18.

If the courier has reason to believe that the recipient of the goods looks under the age of 25, they have the right to request proof of identification. If the recipient is unable to provide recognised proof or valid identification (such as a Passport or Driving Licence), the courier has the right to refuse delivery and goods will be returned to Cellar 46.

If the recipient appears to the courier to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, delivery will also be refused.

3. ACCESS TO THE LICENSED PREMISES

The nature of Cellar 46 is that of a private, Members' only wine club and not that of a wine bar, or wine merchant which is open to the public.

As a result, and in strict accordance with Cellar 46's licensing stipulations, NO members of the public and therefore NO members of the wine club will be admitted to the licensed premises AT ANY TIME.

Access will strictly be limited to authorised personnel only, who are over the age of 18 and have been checked and authorised by the Premises Licence Holder or Designated Premises Supervisor.
